Business Development Specialist
The purpose of Business Retention and Expansion (BRE) is to value and support existing businesses located in Boone County and to assist them with any needs related to business retention and expansion. REDI's Business Development Specialist supports this effort with a three-pronged approach.

- First, the Business Development Specialist supports business recognition activities happening in the community and creates business recognition events and initiatives that highlights the importance of individual businesses to the overall business community and to the greater community.
- Secondly, the Business Development Specialist serves as a business concierge who acts as a liaison between developers, businesses and government to help the business community navigate city and county regulatory processes.
- Finally, the Business Development Specialist represents REDI in a collaborative effort to address workforce issues including the development of educational programming and technical skill building that addresses employer needs and supports individuals seeking careers that offer professional growth and financial stability.
